Metal Prints

We're so excited about our new metal prints!  These amazing prints are actually printed on sheets of metal (not like "metallic" prints that are printed on paper that has a metallic-like gloss).  These are the real thing, and they are truly magnificent!

They're vibrant, luminescent, durable, archival, and amazing!  They're great for any photo that you want to have last for generations!

The photo is infused into the surface... not printed on the surface.  So generations and generations will be able to enjoy the photograph.  Weddings, Senior Portraits, and Baby Portraits will really benefit from this.  No one wants their photographs to fade or to be ruined in a flood.  Metal prints may be your answer!

Busy, busy, busy!

What a month! We have 8 weddings in August plus senior portrait sessions and plenty of babies... and we're loving it! But I've been badly neglecting our blog! Sorry everyone!

Keepin' it fresh!

How do you keep it fresh?!

Recently a friend of mine asked how we keep it fresh? What he meant was, how do we do a wedding on Friday and then wake up the next day and do it again... without making it all look the same. Why are our weddings all unique?

The first answer that came to mind was that every wedding is different. So it's easy! But when I thought about it, we really do take a unique approach to every single wedding that we do. So that made me start to wonder... how do we do that?!

Then I realized that I guess we have just always made it a habit to make sure that every wedding we do gets the same unique treatment that the bride and groom deserve. I know that's what I would want my daughter's wedding photographer to do (which is an issue that I better not have to deal with until at least 2031!) I think it's just programmed into us to push the limits of creativity and to make the bride and groom say "Wow!" every time they see their photos for the first time. It's just what we do!

Is June over already?

What a great month! Weddings everywhere from Mc C Ranch in Masonville, to Mary's Lake Lodge in Estes, to beautiful Ellis Ranch in Loveland!

We had a great month, and we can't wait for all of the July weddings and portrait sessions... everywhere from Vail, Colorado, to Maui, Hawaii!

Loveland, Fort Collins Maternity Portraits

What a great maternity session! This is Amber and little Lysette. I've known Amber and her husband Joel for around 7 years, and Emily has known her for almost all of her life. So it was a huge honor and blessing when she asked us to do her maternity session.

And nothing makes a maternity session better than having the older sibling in the photos too! Lysette's absolutely adorable, and she loves the camera!

So the combination of Amber, Joel and Lysette made for a fun portrait session and amazing photos. I took around 100 photos, so I can't wait to see which ones they get prints of.

It was a fun day at our Loveland studio for engagement sessions! We are honored to be doing the weddings of Krista & Justin in 2010 and Jason & Chelsey this October. Both couples were great to hang out with, and the photos turned out great!

Chelsey and Jason decided to go for a studio session, and Justin and Krista chose one of our locations by the lake.

I can't wait for them to see their portraits!

Marek's Newborn Photos

One of the best things about my line of work is that I get to see the cutest babies in the world! I have two of my own, so I'm a little partial to them! But Marek is absolutely adorable!

Marek's mommy brought him by, and hwe was the most perfect little angel that a photographer could ask for! This is just one of the many images I captured. He did such a great job, and I can't wait for his upcoming sessions! He got the "Baby's First Year" package. It's such a great deal, and it's a great gift idea! I'm always amazed after a maternity portrait session. Nothing can describe the feeling you get being entrusted with the first portrait session a human being has ever had. It has always been a debate whether life begins at conception or at birth. I personally believe that it's at conception, which gives me the pleasure of being the first photographer to have ever photographed Makai!

Makai's parents, Phil and Darcy, are going to be amazing parents, and they were also very photogenic! Thanks so much to them for helping make their portrait session so incredible. Candice and Jeremy, Lone Hawk Ranch in Longmont

Candice and Jeremy got married on May 30, 2009, and Lone Hawk Ranch in Longmont. This was my first wedding there... and Lone Hawk Ranch is gorgeous! The beautiful venue combined with a handsome groom, gorgeous bride, and fabulous group of guests, made the day absolutely perfect.

I took over 1300 photos in just 5 hours, but, for a photographer who loves what he does, it was impossible not to!

And Candice and Jeremy make such a great couple. I can't wait until they come back to us for family portraits in a few years! It was such a pleasure to help them with their wedding. I can't wait for them to see their photos.

I know they're going to love them and be able to relive the day. That's something that we really love about what we do. So much planning goes into the wedding day. And so much would be forgotten so fast. But we help them keep those memories.

Colorado Weddings in May

Wow! May was such a blast! May usually isn't a very busy month for us, but this month it was rockin'! With 4 weddings and a bunch of portrait sessions, we had such a great time helping our clients capture their memories so that they can savor them for decades to come.

We were so fortunate to be able to be able to work with such great clients month. We love being able to get to know the people we work with. But, most of all, we love to hear their comments when they view their photos. It makes us really enjoy the work that we do.

We already have several weddings booked for 2010, so if you're planning your 2010 wedding, call us as soon as possible so that no one beats you to your date. We would love to help you cherish your memories forever.

Milliken Wedding Photography, Colorado

We were so honored to be asked to do Robert and Becky's wedding photography for them in Milliken this last Sunday. We already have the photos ready for them and are about to begin their wedding DVD.

It was a beautiful day in Milliken. The rain started coming down towards the end of the ceremony, but it didn't bother anyone at all, including us! We're always prepared for everything!

Bob and Becky make such a cute couple, and their families and friends welcomed us like they had known us forever! They were a blast!

Adrienne's Senior Portraits 2010

I had the pleasure of doing Adrienne's senior portraits yesterday.  She's an amazing young lady, and her photos turned out incredibly well.

Not only was the session a blast, but I also had a great time trying out some new backgrounds that we have put in our studio.  The graffiti wall looks amazing!  And the barn wall looks unbelievable!  We have so many backgrounds and such a huge variety that our senior portraits are going to be even more incredible than last year!

Lesondra and Noah's Engagement Session

I had the opportunity to do the engagement session for Lesondra and Noah. They're getting married this summer, and they're having us do the photography for their wedding too. I love engagement sessions because it gives me more time to get to know the bride and groom. This time was no exception!

They are such a great couple! They just go so well together, and I can tell that their life together will be full of happiness and great times.

Their photos turned out beautifully, and I'm really excited to do their wedding and design their album.

Loveland and Fort Collins Maternity Portraits

Expecting mothers often ask us when the best time to schedule their maternity portrait session is.  The best time is 32-35 weeks (if you're not doing a progression photo which you should ask us about because they're amazing!)  This is the most flattering time to have your session, and you will probably be the most comfortable (well, at least more comfortable than you are at 39 weeks!)

 

And be sure to get Dad involved too!  They make some really cute photos that you will cherish forever!

Meet Mollee!

She's one of our Senior Ambassadors from one of the local high schools.  Her session was a blast!  I got to meet her boyfriend, and they make a really cute couple... maybe we'll be their wedding photographer in the future... the way distant future!!!  :)

This is just one of about 100 photos that she had to choose from.  She was one of the first seniors to do a session in our new studio (which is amazing by the way!!)

Wedding Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado

Rachel and Noah's April wedding was a blast!  They make an adorable couple, and we had so much fun with them and their families.  It's a great feeling when a couple is thrilled with our work, but it's even better when we're thrilled with how much fun the day was!

You'll hear me say it a lot... we love all our brides and grooms.  But every single couple is special to us in a different way.  We know that Rachel and Noah's marriage is going to outlast time.  We can't wait to do their family portraits in the future and to watch their family grow.

We did the senior portraits for Rachel's sister, Jenessa.  So we have gotten to know the family and have just fallen in love with all of them.  And now we can't wait to do Jenessa's wedding... years down the road of course!

Our New Additional Portrait Studio in Loveland!

I've said so many times that the new studio is almost done... almost done... almost done... and then I said that it's finally done. Well... I don't think it will ever be done. We're always adding to our portrait studios in Loveland, and I guess that will never change!

Loveland and Fort Collins Wedding Photography - Choose a Professional!

Photography isn't easy!  It doesn't matter how good Cannon or Nikon become, your wedding deserves a professional!

It's amazing how many times our clients tell us that they had their "backup" photographer take photos too.  And it's amazing that nearly 100% of the time, they are really disappointed in the "backup's" photos.

It's sad to hear that a photographer missed the bouquet toss.  But it takes a lot of preparation and know-how to photograph a wedding and reception.
